Hello everyone! I’m Wendy Trujillo, and I’m so grateful to be part of the Village Green family.
I’m originally from California, where I was born and raised, and where my three wonderful children still live today. They are such a big part of who I am, and whenever I have the chance, I love traveling back to spend time with them—those moments mean everything to me.
My journey into healthcare started in a very special way, working in the delivery department alongside my mom. Being able to share that experience with her was something I’ll always cherish, and it’s really where my love for caring for others began. After my time in the hospital, I was introduced to assisted living and memory care—and that’s where everything changed for me. I didn’t just enjoy it… I fell in love with it.
For over 20 years, I’ve been in this field, and it has truly become my passion. Caring for others is something that runs deep in my family, but for me, it’s also incredibly personal. I believe in showing up with heart, patience, and compassion every single day. Our residents are not just people we care for—they become part of our lives, our stories, and our purpose.
What I love most about this work is being there not just for our residents, but for their families as well. Supporting them, comforting them, and walking alongside them through every stage of the journey is something I take to heart. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly, and one that continues to inspire me every day.
When I’m not at the community, I’m usually planning my next trip to see my kids or simply enjoying the little moments that bring balance and joy to life. I carry that same love, dedication, and sense of family into everything I do here.
Being part of Village Green means being part of something truly special, and I feel so thankful to do the work that I love, surrounded by a team and residents who make it all so meaningful.
