Hello! I’m Vanessa Denise Gonzales, and I’m excited to share a bit about my journey with you. After graduating from Mesquite High School and completing my education online through Penn Foster, I delved into the world of healthcare. While also caring for my beloved grandparents, I volunteered at a nursing home on weekends—a time that holds special memories for me.
I pursued further education at Texas Career Institute, studying phlebotomy and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Continuing my quest for knowledge, I enrolled in college courses at UMA, focusing on medicine, as well as billing and coding. My career in caregiving blossomed when I joined a local living facility for the elderly, starting as a caregiver and eventually being promoted to Lead Med Tech caregiver in Rowlett Mesquite.
Despite facing a setback due to a car accident that left me in the ICU for almost four months, I remained determined to return to the field and share my expertise with others. True to my word, I resumed my career, this time with Brookdale as a Lead Healthcare Medication Assistant. Though the workload was demanding, my passion for helping others never wavered.
