Hello all! I'm Norma Del Castillo-Osborn, and I've had the pleasure of being part of the Village Green Memory Care Community family since 2019. For 4.5 years, I had the privilege of managing the Kingwood Location, and now, I proudly call The Woodlands “home."
My journey into memory care began when my dear mother-in-law started showing signs of cognitive decline. It was a pivotal moment that led me to resign from my position as Church secretary for New Life Assembly of God, where I served directly under our amazing Pastors for a decade. When it became clear that my mother-in-law needed round-the-clock care, we welcomed her into our home for 1.5 years until her passing in 2011. It was during that time that I discovered my deep love for caregiving and made the decision to pursue it wholeheartedly.
Starting as a caregiver to gain experience, I embarked on an assisted living course to obtain licensing as I continued to work. What I cherish most about Memory Care is the joy of seeing my residents smile—the love and trust that radiates from their eyes during those precious moments are truly unconditional and priceless.
While this field presents its challenges, it is also the most rewarding job I've ever had the pleasure of doing. Every day, I feel immensely blessed and honored to care for our beautiful residents, and I'm grateful for the privilege to make a positive difference in their lives.
