Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Hannah, and I’m honored to serve as the Manager of Resident Care here at Village Green in Sachse.
I began my journey in senior living over 14 years ago, but my passion for caring for seniors started long before my career ever began. As a little girl, my family and I walked through the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s disease with my beloved Nanny Woods. That experience left a lasting imprint on my heart and planted the seed for what would become my life’s mission—to help change the way we care for our seniors, with compassion, dignity, and a deep respect for both who they were and who they are in the present moment.
I started my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a memory care community in Plano. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of growing into leadership roles that have strengthened both my knowledge and my passion for this work. To continue growing and better serve our residents and team, I became a Certified Assisted Living Manager (CALM) and a Certified Activity Director in the state of Texas.
For me, this work is about so much more than providing care—it’s about creating a true home. A place built on trust, warmth, and meaningful connection, where residents are genuinely known and loved, and where families feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
Outside of the community, I cherish time with my husband, our family, and our beloved pets (we have quite a few!). I love cooking, getting lost in a good book, and singing—things that bring me joy and allow me to express creativity. I carry that same sense of joy, heart, and energy into everything I do here at Village Green.
To the residents who’ve shaped me, challenged me, and taught me more than any textbook ever could: thank you. You remind me daily why I do this work. I carry your stories with me, and I’ll continue showing up—for you and because of you.
