Manager of Resident Care (Kingwood)

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho, where I worked part-time as a caregiver. It was during that time that I first discovered how deeply I love working with the elderly. I’ll never forget when a manager once told me, “It takes a special person to care for memory care residents.” That comment stayed with me, and today it carries even greater meaning as my passion for this population has continued to grow.

I began my journey at Village Green in the summer of 2021 as a caregiver, and from day one, I felt the love and strong sense of family that makes this community so special. Village Green has a culture unlike any other facility I’ve experienced—warm, connected, and deeply rooted in compassion and respect for both residents and team members.

I was later promoted to Lead Med Tech, a role I proudly held for several years, before being honored with the opportunity to become the Manager of our Kingwood community.

It is truly the best job I’ve ever had. I care deeply for our residents, who are like family to us, and I am incredibly grateful to lead a team of dedicated, well-trained, and compassionate staff—many of whom have been with Village Green for years and are deeply invested in the care we provide.

Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and enjoy swimming. I love going to the movies, spending time with my close-knit family—including my two sisters, brother, and four nieces and nephews

—and taking long walks with my dog, Charlie. He’s my little shadow and one of my favorite companions.

I’ve always been an empathetic and caring person, and I truly believe this role is what I was meant to do. It’s a blessing to be part of something so meaningful, and I’m grateful every day to serve the residents, families, and team at Village Green Memory Care Home.
