Mel Woods

Hello everyone! I’m Mel Woods, the Executive Director at our Village Green McKinney community. I bring over 22 years of experience in the medical field, but more importantly, a deep passion for doing things the right way—for our residents, our families, and our team.

For me, memory care is so much more than a profession. It’s personal. It’s about creating a space where every resident is treated with dignity, patience, and genuine compassion. I believe in high standards, strong teams, and showing up fully each and every day—not just to do the work, but to make a difference. My goal has always been to help create an environment that truly feels like home, where both residents and families feel safe, supported, and cared for.

At the heart of everything I do is connection—building trust with families, supporting and growing a dedicated team, and making sure our residents are not only cared for, but truly known and valued.
